Jeju Island of South Korea Opens Asian Door to US

The American Society of Travel Agents will host the International Destinational Expo-Asia 2007 on South Korea's Jeju Island, 25 to 29 March, at the International Convention Centre Jeju. Several hundred exhibitors and travel agents will participate in this event.

IDE-Asia, the show organizer, will offers pre and post show tours to provide delegates with destination experiences so they may more effectively sell the country.

South Korea Tourism Organization's marketing manager. Punmate na Ranong, said the fair would position South Korea as a gateway for inbound US tourists.

ASTA hosted IDE-Asia 2007 sees Jeju Island as a gateway for US citizens visiting Asia.
